Why now

Accessibility is now being enforced

You don’t need to panic. You do need to know what’s on your site, so you can fix the real problems on your own schedule.

EU

The European Accessibility Act is in force

Businesses selling to customers in the EU are now expected to meet accessibility requirements for their websites and online shops.

~37%

ADA website lawsuits keep climbing

Lawsuits over inaccessible websites in the US are rising by roughly a third year over year, and small businesses receive many of the demand letters.

$1M

Widgets don’t make a site compliant

The FTC fined accessiBe $1 million for claiming its overlay widget made websites compliant. Real issues need real fixes in your site’s code.

What you get

A report your developer can act on and you can understand

A full automated scan

Up to 25 pages loaded in a real browser and scanned with axe-core, the open-source rules engine maintained by Deque Systems, against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2.

Plain-English findings

Every issue explained in plain language: why it matters, who it affects, and the specific fix, with an example from your own code.

Ranked by severity

Issues are sorted so you fix what blocks people first, instead of working through a list of hundreds in random order.

A branded PDF in 48 hours

An executive summary up front, detailed findings, and a page-by-page breakdown. Ready to forward to your developer, your team or your client.

A dated evidence log

The scan timestamp, the axe-core and scanner versions, and every page checked, recorded straight from the raw results. A dated record that you checked.

Your logo, if you’re an agency

White-label reports carry your agency’s branding, so you can deliver audits to your clients under your own name.

Critical

Blocks some people from using a page or finishing a task.

Serious

Makes a task very difficult. Fix soon after the critical issues.

Moderate

Causes real friction and confusion for some visitors.

Minor

Small annoyances. Worth fixing when you’re next in the code.

Inside every report

  1. Cover. Your site, the scan date, and the number of pages scanned.
  2. Executive summary. How many issue types were found, how many page elements they affect, and the severity breakdown.
  3. Detailed findings. Each issue with its rule, WCAG criteria, why it matters, the fix and an example, ordered by severity.
  4. Page-by-page breakdown. Which pages have the most problems.
  5. Methodology and evidence log. How the scan was run, when, with which tool versions, and its limits.

How it works

Three steps, about two days

  1. Send your site

Email your website address and the pages you want checked, up to 25. Not sure which pages matter most? I’ll suggest them.

  2. I run the audit

Each page is loaded in a real browser and scanned with axe-core. Results are recorded with timestamps, grouped, ranked by severity and written up in plain English.

  3. You get the report

Straight answers

What this audit is, and what it isn’t

Automated scanning finds roughly a quarter to a third of real-world accessibility failures, including many of the most common, such as low contrast, missing labels and images without descriptions. It can’t judge keyboard-only navigation, how a screen reader announces things, or whether image descriptions make sense. The report says so plainly.

  • It is a clear, dated picture of where your site stands and what to fix first.
  • It isn’t legal advice, a certificate of compliance or a guarantee against claims.
  • It isn’t a widget. Nothing is installed on your site.
  • For a defensible compliance position, pair it with manual testing by an accessibility specialist.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Is this legal advice?

No. The audit is a technical report on your website. If you have received a demand letter or a lawsuit, speak to a lawyer. The report and evidence log can help them understand where your site stands.

Will fixing everything make my site compliant?

Fixing the reported issues makes your site more accessible, but no automated scan can promise compliance. Automated tools catch roughly a quarter to a third of real-world barriers; the rest need manual testing by a person. A clean scan is a good start, not a guarantee.

What standard do you test against?

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and 2.2, the standard referenced in ADA cases and by the European Accessibility Act. The scan uses axe-core, and each finding lists the WCAG criteria it relates to.

What do you need from me?

Your website address and a list of up to 25 pages. If you’re not sure which pages to include, I’ll suggest the ones visitors use most, such as the home page, contact page and checkout.

Do you fix the issues too?

The report gives your developer the exact fix for each issue, written so they can act on it straight away. If you don’t have a developer, ask and we can talk about options.

How does white-label work for agencies?

The report carries your agency’s name and logo instead of Acclivitas Audit, so you can deliver it to your client as your own work. Mention it in your request.
